24h of Le Mans 1968

in 1968, the 24 Hours of Le Mans took place exceptionally in September. The real hero of the race was not the autumn weather but Henri Pescarolo who, without wiper, kept on driving his Matra MS 630 several stints. His partner, Johnny Servoz-Gavin, said "Only a candidate for suicide could have found some pleasure. I was not wood whose coffins are made of". Here, the Ford GT40 number 9 (winner of the race) try to overtake Servoz-Gavin at Mulsanne corner
