Description
In 1985 with a modified version of an engine from the 1960’s, Renault launched what it turned out to be one of it’s iconic cars of the golden age of turbocharged engines. The sportier version of the Super 5 had 120hp, was named GT Turbo and it became known as the Living Coffin! The Renault 5 Gt Turbo came into existence and on the roads in 1985. Traces of this legendary car have been handed down to the sports models which Renault makes today. The Renault 5 GT Turbo had all the accessories of the neat little sports cars of the period: wide wings, aluminum wheels and spoilers. But in terms of style, power, agility and performance, it made a hugely attractive alternative to the GTI trend of the time.
