Official shop & verified badges

Official shop & verified badges help fans more easily find the racing drivers, celebrities and brands that they follow and trust.

What is an official shop badge?

An official shop is a tick that appears next to a GPBox shop's name in product grids, product pages and on their store pages. It means that GPBox has confirmed that the seller is the authentic presence of the public figure, racing driver, celebrity and/or brand it represents. We don't use the official shop badge to endorse or recognise public figures or brands.

The official shop badge is a tool to help motorsport fans and car enthusiasts find the real shops of racing drivers, celebrities and brands, and it means that we have verified that this is a notable and authentic GPBox shop. An official shop badge is not a symbol to show importance, great customer service, shopping experience or anything outside of GPBox's control.

The official shop badges cannot be transferred to a different account. GPBox shops that fake racing drivers, teams, celebrities or brands go against our Terms of use and aren't allowed on GPBox.

Note: While many racing drivers, teams, celebrities and brands verify their shop on GPBox, not all figures have official shop badges.

What are the requirements to have an official shop badge on GPBox?

We look at a number of factors when evaluating GPBox shops to determine if they meet the official shop criteria.

This is a manual process that in addition to following GPBox's Terms of use, your shop also needs to be:

  • Authentic: Represent a real person, registered business or entity.
  • Unique: Represent the unique presence of the person or business. Only one shop per person or business may be official, without exceptions. We don't verify general product shops nor shops selling official products (use "Licenced product" or "Certificate of Authenticity" tags on product creation).
  • Complete: Your shop must have a description, profile logo, have products published and be active when you apply.
  • Notable: Your shop must represent a well-known, highly searched for racing drivers, teams, celebrities, brands or entity. We review shops that are featured in multiple news sources, and we don't consider paid or sponsored media content as sources for review.

Bear in mind that if you receive an official shop badge using false or misleading information during the verification process, we will remove your official shop badge and may take additional action to disable your shop.

How shops request an official shop & verified badge

To request an official shop or a verified shop badge you must contact us and use the request a collaboration contact option:

  • Use your shop name as your name on the form.
  • Send a small application text and explanation to help us understand why you think you should get an official shop badge.
  • Share with us your social profile.
  • Share with us the best email to contact you.

Once reviewed, we personally check that you are or represent the racing driver, team, celebrity, brand or entity and will contact you back to arrange a short video call.

Bear in mind that:

  • Even if your shop is eligible for official shop verification, submitting a request doesn't guarantee that your shop will be automatically set as official.
  • Sending multiple official shop verification requests using different emails doesn't guarantee that your shop will be verified any sooner and applying for an official shop badge multiple times before receiving a decision might cancel your application.
  • Once the official shop badge gets verified, the verification cannot be transferred to a different shop.
  • If you receive an official shop badge using false or misleading information during the verification process, we will remove your official shop badge and may take additional action to disable your shop.
