About Cale Funderburk Art & Design
Welcome to my GPBox store. Since 2012 I have been creating, posting and selling my motorsports inspired are worth through online platforms like Reddit, Society6 and Etsy.
I trained as a Fine Artist receiving BFA with a Minor in Art History from The University of Texas at San Antonio in 2012. I aim to create art that I would love to see on my own walls. I tend to stray away from detail and instead focus on the use of some fundamental fine art techniques such as limited color palettes, negative space, and the use of line to define the aspects of the shapes of the Iconic race cars used in my work. After spending three years creating art and working as a fly-in crew member for a number of IMSA and Sports Car racing teams I took a hiatus from art and focused on working full time in the Motorsports industry managing professional race teams to selling motorsports safety equipment. Five years later due to unforeseen circumstances, I found myself out of the motorsports world and while the world grappled with the Covid-19 pandemic I decided, after the encouragement from friends, family and my fiancée I would give creating and selling my art another go, this time full time.
Please if you enjoy my art, share it, buy it, admire it, send me photos of it hanging up, I absolutely love watching people interact with art and cannot wait to see where this goes.
