Porsche 908/03 Vic Elford Nürburgring 1971. Vic Elford, born on 10th of June 1935 in London, is a former British racing driver, who might be the most polyvalent driver in racing history.He has shined in rallye and circuit racing, as well as in endurance races and even in Formula One. He won the 1968 Monte Carlo Rallye in a Porsche 911, the 24 Hours of Daytona in a Porsche 907 and three times the Nürburgring 1000 km and even the famous Targa Florio where he won after making up an 18 minute deficit due to a puncture early in the race. A real legend of motor racing.His car is seen here in an after race version of the 1971 Nürburgring 1000 km, a race he just had won for the third time (this time with the French driver Gérard Larrousse).
