Description

This is a very rare F1 rear wing from Williams F1 2010 season. The wing
is serial # 01, so it is a test wing for the wind tunnel and track
testing, and thus was never painted in Williams livery. This particular
design exhibits an unconventional intake duct system on the top of the
wing. The purpose is to allow a higher AOA (Angle of Attack), and
introduces more air behind the trailing edge of the wing to prevent
stall. The construction of this wing is a fantastic example of complex
composite structures. The NRE (Non Recoverable Engineering) costs
involved in developing an F1 wing is in the hundreds of thousands of
Pounds. They are examples of superlative devices used to keep powerful
F1 cars on the ground at mind numbing speeds. We also have serial #2 and
