Complex gearbox component from a 2008 Renault F1, originally part of the gear selection mechanism.

A highly unusual and interesting example of the exceptionally high level of engineering that goes into a modern F1 car.

Made from titanium & steel and it fitted with silky smooth ceramic bearings (the 3 silver parts all spin effortlessly around the centre shaft).

Measures approx 8" / 20cm in length.

Supplied with an information card, this explains what the part is, which team it's from and which drivers (Fernando Alonso & Nelson Piquet Jr.) would
have originally used it.

It has also been engraved (by the Renault F1 team) with it's own unique part numbers & batch code, this allowed the team & engineers to keep track of what parts were fitted to the cars at any given time.

Would also give the new owner a great talking point if display on their desk or in their home.
